Natural Disasters: How Natural are Natural Disasters?

By Andrew Rooke, 1.30 - 3.30 pm, 17 May 2025.

Venue:Melbourne Lodge

We don’t want to think much about it but the Earth and its inhabitants live in a harsh and dangerous cosmic environment.

We can easily be subject to a range of natural disasters if the delicate balance supporting life on Earth is upset in any way.

The range of natural disasters range from bushfires and earthquakes through to asteroid impact and supernova explosions.

We'll have a look at all of these together with theosophical teachings which show that humanity's actions and thoughts have a profound impact on the Earth as a living being and the adjustments the Earth makes to preserve its health and balance.

How 'Natural' then are what we call 'Natural Disasters'. Come along and we will discuss all these themes and a lot more!
